 डिजिटल रेप म्हणजे काय?

डिजिटल रेपचा सायबर गुन्ह्यांशी किंवा स्क्रीनवर केलेल्या लैंगिक गुन्ह्यांशी किंवा इंटरनेटद्वारे शोषण केल्याशी काहीही संबंध नाही. संमतीशिवाय जबरदस्तीने प्रायव्हेट पार्टमध्ये बोटे आणि पायाची बोटे घुसवण्याची ही कृती आहे. इंग्रजीत 'डिजिट' या शब्दाचा अर्थ पायाचे बोट, बोट आणि अंगठा असा होतो. म्हणून संमतीशिवाय 'डिजिट' जबरदस्तीने घुसवण्याला 'डिजिटल रेप' म्हणून वर्गीकृत केले जाते. पूर्वी अशी कृत्ये विनयभंग मानली जात होती.

Digital rape has nothing to do with cyber crimes or sex crimes committed on screen or being exploited over the internet. It is the act of forcing fingers and toes into private parts without consent. In English, the word 'digit' means toe, finger and thumb. Hence the forcible penetration of 'digits' without consent is classified as 'digital rape'. Previously such acts were considered molestation.
