So what do you do?
Interior cheated, what next?
We have selected a reputed company for the interiors of flats in Pune. The discussion was done, the work was done. 5% of the quotation (approx. 30,000) paid. There was a lot of confusion at work. The furniture they chose was more expensive than the market price. The quality of work was also not as acknowledged. We had to shift there with incomplete work. What can be done? - A reader
You have given your complaint in great detail in the mail you sent, not all the details here. But let's see what went wrong on your side. After the concerned company gave an estimate of the cost, you gave an advance of around thirty thousand, which they had made clear in advance that it would not be returned. Couldn't understand if it was decided who would be responsible for the delay and if there would be any compensation / compensation for the delay if they don't produce your preferred design within a certain time frame.
When the design was ready, there were some points you made, did they agree with you or not? Or did you seem to accept what you said and actually differ? The furniture they chose was expensive.
Did you communicate your opinions, complaints, doubts in writing to the designers during this time? There is a separate instruction manual on the site. There are three entries in this
Done in copies.. one copy to you, second to their representative and third to the venue.
Did you make any such arrangements? Now the work is half done and you are reluctantly shifted to a new place. Does the contract have any indemnification provisions for non-timely completion of work? Was there a written contract between you and the designers? These questions are important.
