Raga plays an important role in Indian music. It is said that there are more than 630 types of ragas.


There are pictures of musical instruments and dance postures of 30 thousand years old in caves located in the region called Bhimbetka in Madhya Pradesh of India.

The classical music of our country is divided into two parts. The first is Indian classical music and the second is Carnatic music. Of these two, Carnatic music is considered to be the oldest classical music.

Pt. Vishnu Digambar Paluskar established the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya in Lahore in the year 1901. It has got the status of the first music school in India.

India's first folk music album is Banjaran, which contained folk songs from Rajasthan and Gujarat.

India's famous song 'Jai Ho' received the Oscar Award in 2009. The song was written by Gulzar and Tanvi Shah together and the music was composed by A. R. It was Rahman. The lead singer of this song is Sukhwinder Singh, A. R. Rahman, Tanvi, Mahalakshmi Iyer and Vijay Prakash.

According to Hindu beliefs, Brahma gave music to Narada Muni as a boon.

The Dwarf Planet, discovered by the International Astronomical Union on 11 November 2006, has been named after the great classical singer Pandit Jasraj. It is considered an important achievement of Indian music.


Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia of India is a world famous flute player. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1992 and Padma Vibhushan in 2000 by the Government of India in the field of arts.

  राजू श्रीवास्तव -  कॉमेडियन आखिरकार रुला गए गजोधर गजोधर को उठाया ननिहाल से 21 सितंबर 2022 दिन बुधवार सुबह सवेरे खबर आई. सबको  हंसाने वाले कॉमेडियन राजू श्रीवास्तव नहीं रहे. कई दिनों से दिल्ली के एम्स में जिंदगी के लिए संघर्ष कर रहे राजू आखिरकार मौत से हार गए. होनी के आगे उन्होंने हार मान ली. कभी गजोधर की कहानी तो कभी किसी नेता अभिनेता की मिमिक्री और कभी फिल्मों या शादी-ब्याह के मजेदार किस्से सुनाकर सबको हंसा-हंसा कर लोट-पोट कर देने वाले 'गजोधर भैया' ने आम लोगों की नब्ज को पकड़ते हुए ऐसे-ऐसे किस्से गढ़े थे, जो अब यादों में ही शेष रह गए हैं. था राजू श्रीवास्तव ने स्टैंडअप कॉमेडी करते हुए यूं तो कई मजेदार निभाए थे, मगर सबसे ज्यादा पसंद किया गया गजोधर भैया को दिलचस्प बात यह है कि गजोधर भैया कोई काल्पनिक किरदार नहीं था, बल्कि इस नाम का शख्स राजू के ननिहाल में रहता था. रुक-रुक कर बोलने वाले उस बुजुर्ग शख्स के किरदार को राजू ने अपनाया था, जिसे फैंस का इतना ज्यादा प्यार मिला कि यह राजू की पहचान बन गया. फैंस उन्हें गजोधर भैया भी कहते थे. असली नाम था सत्यप्रकाश आसान नहीं था सफर 2...
